Pliers.-In wirecutting pliers of the general form shown in Fig. 1, the fixed cutting- jaw b, having a horn-like extension, and the pivoted cutting-jaw c are both h removably secured in the head a by screw - bolts such as i, the jaw c being operated from the movable handle f, pivoted on the bolt j, by the knee-joint e, which is arranged to obtain great leverage. The handle f, and the handle d in one piece with the head a, are both of sheet metal bent to U-shaped cross-section, and they are normally held apart by the spring g, the outward motion of the handle f being limited by the projection h.
