The loop d of string or tape is passed through a slit e in the band c, the inner ends f of the loop being at right-angles to the band. The end g of the band is gummed, folded, and fastened down. To assist in the unrolling of the band c, a short piece of wire &c. h is passed through the tube a so that the ends, which may be looped, hang down To protect the ends of the band during transit cardboard caps j are fitted tightly on the ends of the band c. In a modification, the tube a is made longer than the band c and the whole is enclosed in a sheet of paper, the ends of which are secured by cords, elastic bands, or small rings.
