Abstract
14,024. O'Brien, J. O., [Thornton, J. E.]. July 2. Thermometers.-Photographic developing-tanks are fitted with a thermonieter with the bulb inside and the stem outside the tank. The stem b, Fig. 2, may be fitted within a recess a, and the bulb inserted in the interior through a sealed hole a<1>. A false-bottom c' may be necessary to protect the bulb. Alternatively the recess may have holes similar to the holes d<1>, Fig. 6, at both bottom and top through which a straight stem is inserted so that the bulb and the upper part of the stem are inside the tank, the middle part being in the recess outside the tank. In another construction, the tank has a vertical slit a<3>, Fig. 6, in the side, and the thermometer is mounted in a recessed bracket D secured to the tank by a flange d<2>.
