Braces ; belts; suspenders for articles of dress.- The springs B, Figs. 1, 4, 5, and 6, which facilitate the expansion or lengthening of braces, suspenders, belts, &c., are made detachable so that the number of springs may be varied and broken ones removed. The fitting is made from a blank, Fig. 6, with slots having enlarged ends b. The blank is bent so that the head B', Fig. 5, of the spring may be passed into the large end of the slot and then passed by means of the channel c to the small end, from which in ordinary use it cannot be withdrawn. Fig. 4 shows a spring with an enlarged end for a similar purpose.
