Inkstands. - An ink-well is provided with a saddleshaped bottom 2, in the centre of which a dipping recess 3 is formed, the object being to provide a constant depth of clean ink. A dipping funnel 6, which is provided with holes 9 and may be made of vulcanite &c. and covered with a lid 8, passes through a washer 5 and enters the recess 3. Ink is poured in up to the level 10, and the recess 3 is filled from time to time by shaking the well.
