9504. Clarke, J. L. May 1. Feeding - bottles. - Relates to a drinking-tube, for use with flasks or bottles which, when the stopper is removed from the bottle, projects sufficiently to be placed in the mouth of the drinker. The tube a is rounded at its upper end c and fastened to a flat spring f by a clip g. In.theposi. tion shown, the spring is slightly flexed, so that, when the cork is removed, the spring causes the tube to project from the bottle for use. Instead of the spring f, the tube may have a short length of rubber tubing attached to its lower end. The tube may also be formed in two parts one sliding within the other. The two parts are joined by a rubber or metal spring, which is compressed when the tube is pressed into the bottle.
