Abstract

8567. Venner, R. F., and Brown, A. W. April 16. Spray - producers. - In spray - producers of the type in which two co-axial tubes are used, the inner liquid-conveying tube is fixed at its lower end while leaving its upper end free to vibrate. When used in connexion with a pneumatic bulb fixed above the container, as described in Specification No. 14,431, A.D. 1906, the external tube is reduced at its lower end and adapted to fit the cork or stopper. The container may be formed integral with the outer tube. As shown in Fig. 1, the outer tube a is reduced at its lower end and carries the air bulb c on its upper portion. The inner tube d is fixed to the tube a at its lower end. Air passes from the bulb c through holes b, g into the tube d and container f respectively, whereby the tube d is vibrated and the liquid is forced up through it. In a modification, the bulb is separate from, but connected by flexible tubing with the air-tube. The top of the liquid tube is sometimes enlarged as shown at l, Fig. 5.
