Abstract

7683. Slauter, F. S. May 16, 1907, [date applied for under Section 91 of Patents &c. Act, 1907]. Hooks and eyes. -An M - shaped hook 1, Fig. 1, with arms substantially in one plane, is provided with locking - shoulders 4. The eye 5 is a bent metal strip of a width just sufficient to fit between the shoulders 4 and the ends of the hook, to form a secure and rigid connexion. The eye may be notched as shown at 6. The form of the hook may be varied by forming the locking- shoulders on the central loop 2, by bending and depressing this loop, and otherwise. The eye may be formed from a single piece of wire, as shown in Fig. 6.
