3007. Sutcliffe, H. Feb. 10. Slotting; tools; toolholders.- Hand-tools for cutting oil-grooves in shaft bearings are constructed with detachable automatic adjustable cutters. The cutter D, Fig. 3, slides in a slot in the end of the tool A, being guided by trunnions E working in slots C or on the inclined ends of the tool. Springs H which may be adjustable keep the cutter up to the work, which may be of any bore within limits, by means of connecting-links F. In a modification, Fig. 6, the cutter is pivoted, different cutters being used for different bores.
