Abstract

912. Grimm, A. Jan. 16, 1907, [date applied for under Section 91 of Patents &c. Act, 1907]. Gas or explosive-vapour engines, carburetting in. In order to prevent oscillation of the column of liquid in the nozzle c, this nozzle has passages at its top leading to a surrounding overflow pipe e. Oil is kept in constant circulation from an elevated tank a through a choke ring d in the nozzle c, the pipe e, tank f, and pipe i, by an air-pump h, which is connected to the valve box g by a long bent pipe, which prevents the oil from entering the pump and from being contaminated by the lubricating-oil. The tank a may be below the nozzle and the oil may be circulated by air pressure. The nozzle has a small passage l into the air-pipe m. The apparatus is suitable for motor-cars.
