The blades d have shanks d' with collars d<2> and an inner journal d<3> mounted in bearings formed in the halves a, a<1> of the boss, which is screwed into or bolted to an enlargement b<1> on the propeller shaft. The reversing-mechanism comprises a sliding cylindrical block g placed in the after part of the propeller on the end of the reversing rod h, and connected by links i to the collars d' of the blades. Instead of the rods i, racks engaging with teeth in the collars d' may be used.
