Liquids, preserving.-A medicinal preparation, which yields ferrous carbonate in the presence of moisture, is obtained by mixing a solution or suspension of a ferrous salt, such as ferrous sulphate, and an alkali carbonate with glycerin. The mixture may be covered with mineral oil in a vessel, from the bottom of which it can be drawn off into bottles, in which it may be provided with a surfacefilm of non-volatile oil, for example, petroleum, and an atmosphere of carbon dioxide.
