The poles c of the electro-magnet bare completely enclosed within a soft - iron casing b. An armature e having pole-pieces f is arranged to revolve on its longitudinal axis on points k, k<1>. The spindle h communicates the rotation due to the attraction of the poles c on the passing of a current to the make-and-break lever i within the combustion chamber. The circuit is thereby broken and a spark produced. The spring g returns the armature to complete the circuit once again.
