Abstract
18,619. Stuhldreier, W. Aug. 17. Loom jacquards. -Double-lift openshed jacquards are provided with h a single deflecting- grating m, which is moved sideways by eccentrics or levers to push the free limbs of the double lifting-wires f, g, h, i on the knives d of the descending griff out of the path of the knives c of the ascending griff. The limbs of the lifting-wires are made with bends g<4>, g<5>, so that when the grating is moved to one side its rods pass into the bends of the lifting-wires in the open-shed position and prevent these wires from being thrown off the fixed open-shed knives k. The lifting-wires engaged by the rising griff are not disengaged by the grating, but are bent. When the lifting-wires are in their lower positions, angle-parts i' thereon rest on fixed rods l. The hooks h<3> of the lifting wires are raised above the knives k bv the griff, in order that they may be readily moved off the fixed knives, when required. The needle eyes are enlarged to allow the lifting- wire limbs to be moved by the grating.
