The shell b has a longitudinal slit along part of its length so that it may be fitted to looms of slightly different diameter. The blade a may be provided with one or more longitudinally stiffening-ribs d. In one example, a hollow rib is continued along the metal shell b and fits over a corresponding rib on the loom c. In another example, a slit pipe or a rod fits the hollow rib on the shell b and in a groove in the loom.
