14,884. Beal, W. June 29. Gaseliers; gas brackets. - Gas pendants of the type described in Specification No. 6907, A.D. 1893, in which the down-tube or bracket carries a tubular lever, with the burner hanging from one end and a balance weight from the other, are constructed so that the down-tube and the end tube leading to the burner are central with the tubular lever, to avoid side twist on the latter. The gas tube A enters a socket 2 of a three-sided tube E, which has a plug 3 fitting into the fulcrum part 5 of a tubular lever B, the gas way being as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. The joint may be strengthened by a piece 15, fixed to the part E by a screw 18 and a nut 20 which engages a screw-stem on the end of the plug 3. The connecting-part E may also be shaped as shown by the dotted lines, and the end tube C is connected to the lever B by a tubular connexion D similar to the tube E but inverted.
