14,221. Malson, W. A. June 20. Blasting and mining fuses.-In electric fuses for use in blasting and for like purposes, the tips of the iron circuit-wires, which project into the ignition composition from the sulphur wherein the wires are usually embedded, are provided with small heads by the application of molten solder or other good-conducting and non-corrodible metal. It is stated that these beads do not deteriorate and always yield good sparks, while, at the same time, they retain the wires if these happen to become loose in the sulphur. [Reference has been directed under Section 7 of Patents &c. Act, 1907, to Specifications Nos. 26 and 23,031, A.D. 1904, and No. 15,222, A.D. 1905.]
