Abstract

Blasting - fuses. - Relates to electric blasting- fuses in which a tube of lead, adapted to fit within a detonator tube, is pressed over the wires, and is provided with a recess for the igniting - composition. According to the invention, (1) a lead tube E is pressed o v e r the wires A so as to make a water-tight joint, (2) counter-bores D, D<1> are provided for the igniting-composition G, and for a sealing-washer H respectively, and (3) a flange C is provided and grooved at B to receive. a detonator-tube K, which is forced over the lead tube E, and is secured in place by water-proof cement or varnish, or by pressing the flange C over it. The tube E may be crimped over the disk H.
