Abstract
12,165. Hingley, H. M., and Fletcher, J. E. May 27. Anchors. - The shank trunnions of anchors are held in position in the head by blocks fitted and held in recesses in the head. In one form, the shank trunnion 5 is held in place by the block 6, introduced as shown in Fig. 1 and opened out by pressure into the e recesses in the head. Fig. 4 shows the block inserted from the shank side of the head. In other modifications, the block is in two pieces and is held apart by wedges or the like.
