Cramps.-A picture-frame cramp has a plate b, which is hinged to the front end of a base-plate a, and carries jaws g, slidably mounted on rails f at right-angles to a fixed fence d, and adjusted under the action of links l, a nut k, and a screw h. The sliding jaws g are provided each with an opening for the reception of the end of one of the links l, and with a hole for the reception of a boss on the link. When a frame has been clamped, the plate b may be swung up to the position shown in Fig. 2, so that the corners of the frame may be readily accessible for nailing. In a modification, slots are provided instead of the rails f.
