Abstract

4058. Thill, P. Feb. 18. Razors, safety. The blade may be doubleedged and is bent across its length to form an angle or a curve. The clamping-plates between which it is held are of the same shape as the blade, and the guardplate is removable from the frames. The blade 7, Fig. 2, has cutting- edges 8 and is clamped between plates 1, 9. The plate 1 is supported by uprights 2 attached to bars connected to a nut 4 engaging a screw 5 on the handle. The plate 9, which is separate from the frame and provided with guard-teeth, has a bearing to which engages the screw 5. If the blade has only one cutting- edge, the other inclined half of the blade is made stouter. The shape of the blade is such that it may be held by the middle and both edges sharpened at once.
