Axles.-The invention is described in connexion with the steering-wheels of motor road vehicles, but may be applied to railway vehicles. It consists of an arrangement whereby the wheels are rendered independent of one another, of the body, and of the steering-gear. A bracket a,carrying the wheel spindle b, slides upon vertical guides c, d fixed to plates e, f connected to the body of the vehicle. Springs g, fixed to the bracket a, are connected by rigid bars i to springs h attached to the plate f. The steering pivot n, Fig. 2, is mounted between the plates e, f, the connexion j, Fig. 3, between the two wheels and the connexion k to the steering-pillar being carried by the plate f.
