Wooden rollers and drums.-A roller for cloth milling and fulling machines comprises a metal bush b, Figs. 2 and 3. on the shaft d, and having disks c, c<1> mounted loosely at its extremities and supporting wooden blocks f shaped to fit together to form a complete cylinder. The inner surfaces of the disks have annular flanges c<2> projecting from them, so that the parts c<3>, c<4> may engage with corresponding parts formed on the wooden blocks f, the screwed bolts g then being passed through the whole and screwed into openings tapped in the disk c<1>. In a modification, the ends of the bolts are secured by nuts arranged in recesses in the disk c<1>.
