Cards of jewellery, tobacco pouches, purses, &c. are carried and displayed from glass or other shelves, partitions, &c. by a clip suspender consisting of a pair of clips A, B adjustably connected together. The clip B has two spring jaws 4, 5, and is bent up from the blank shown in Fig. 5, which has a slit 9 giving the ears 1, 2 a spring action. Between these is mounted the article-holding clip B having lugs 7 which frictionally engage the holes 8. The adjustment may otherwise be obtained by serrating the inner edges of the ears 1, 2, or, as shown in Fig. 8, by attaching an arm 16 thereto to engage a toothed or perforated quadrant 15 fixed to the clip A. In a further modification, the ears and lugs may be interchanged.
