Abstract

Dental instruments.-Rotary abrading &c. brushes or disks are held between a washer 5 and a flanged sleeve 2 which is held upon the mandrel A by expanding the latter by a barbed wire nail 6. The flange 3 may be replaced by a separate washer, and the washer 5 by the head of the nail. As shown in Fig. 3, the washers may be cup-shaped, and the brush may be formed by tying the bristles round the middle and passing the nail through, the washers spreading the bristles into the required form.
