Riveted joints.- Commutator bars for dynamos &c. are formed by stamping at one end with a depression having a central projecting lug 18 for riveting to the connectors of the armature. The 'lug is caused to-protrude somewhat beyond the face of the bar by means of a second press tool which produces a depression 19 on the other side of the bar. The dies employed are of the type shown in Fig. 8.
