Heat Treatment Of Water, Waste Water Or Sewage
(AREA)
Abstract
11,077. Fillunger, A. May 11. Ammonia.-Ammonia is distilled from gas liquor without addition of lime, and the waste waters from the distilling-apparatus are cooled down and sent back to the gas scrubber to be used again in a continuous cycle. This method avoids increase in the amount of fixed ammonium salts in the water and the consequent loss of ammonia, The distillation is effected by means of dry or superheated steam, or by indirect heating by ordinary steam.
