9646. Begg, A. B. April 25. Motor road vehicles.-In order to prevent dust from being raised by motor road vehicles and the like, the wheels are sprayed with water. A tank a is fitted upon the frame of the vehicle and communicates with troughs b, b<1> which carry rocking scoops c pivoted at d to the edge of the troughs. The scoops end in pipes e connected to flexible, spring-covered, rubber tubes f, which lead to rigid nozzles g adapted to discharge on to the tyres of the wheels. Above the tank is a shaft i fitted with eccentric cams which cause the back-wheel scoops to dip into the troughs and then return by the spring of the tubing f. A similar shaft i<1> operates the front-wheel scoops.
