Vapour burners. -In a modification of the annularw i c k blue - flame burner described in Specification No. 7176, A.D. 1906, the flange c, Fig. 3, on the flame spreader e is horizontal or upwardly inclined, and the flange b on the outer air tube a is horizontal or d o w n w a r d l y inclined, the flanges a, b being approximately in the same plane. The flange c may be arranged on a plate m, Fig. 2, above the spreader so as to project beyond the spreader. An additional flange a, Fig. 5, may be arranged in the outer air-tube a, so as to direct the mixture of air and steam towards the interior of the spreader.
