Ventilators.-In ventilators of the quadrant type, the front plate b<1> of the valve is hinged to the framework a<1> independently of the sides a<3> so that it can be opened outwards as shown in Fig. 3 to facilitate cleaning and inspection. The baffle-plate d<2>, Fig. 2, is fitted into a groove d<3> so that it can be raised for the same purpose. The front plate b<1> is normally fastened to the sides a<3> by turnbuttons b<2>, and when open is held by a chain c' attached to a stay c<1> connecting the sides a<3>. The invention is stated to be applicable to other forms of ventilator.
