Abstract
869. Warmsley, J. L., and Ramsden, J. Jan. 12. Hand-stamps.-An indicator, provided on the handles of endorsing hand-stamps for the purpose of enabling the user to see whether the stamps are the right way up for marking, comprises an adhesive label c, bearing an impression of the subject-matter of the stamp or a description of the same, a transparent disk b of celluloid, talc, &c., and a cap a secured to the stamp handle by means of pins d or by a screw-thread. The Pro. visional Specification describes a stamp handle having a recess and a cap secured to the rim of the recess. It also states that a disk of celluloid, aluminium, &c., having an impressed stamp corresponding with the stamp carried by the handle, may be secured in a groove cut in the handle.
