Abstract

25,750. Fiedler, J., and Csiszßr, F. Hrdliczka-. Dec. 11. Flash lamps.-To prevent the escape of smoke, a flash lamp is completely enclosed during and after the flash in a collapsible transparent or translucent bag of fabric or other material which may be rendered uninflammable or impervious to smoke by wetting it. The bag may, however, be rendered uninflammable in any known manner, or it may be coated with wax, gelatin, caoutchouc, or the like. Opaque or reflecting material may be used for the back or other part of the bag, which is collapsed, before being finally closed, to provide space for the expansion of air accompanying the flash. The bag is preferably made broad at its upper and narrow at its lower part, and the flashing material is ignited electrically or otherwise from the outside.
