Abstract

24,614. Pollard, J. W. Nov. 28. Rails, securing to sleepers.-Relates to tramway rails secured to anchor rails or girders embedded in cement or otherwise fixed across the track so as to be readily removed for renewal without disturbing the girders, as described in Specification No. 17,535, A.D. 1904. The anchor rails as before are tramway rails or rolled metal of I-section, and have rivet holes through the upper web to take the bolts or rivets 13. The present improvements comprise the use of L-shaped clips 9, the other arms of which are secured to the web 8 of the running rail 2 by a bolt 12 as shown. ,
