21,298. Plant, W. C. T. G. G. Oct. 20. Coupling-links; shackles.-Relates to a form of link for use in coupling together chains and also for fastening bracelets, necklaces, &c. The link is formed in two parts each of which is of the shape shown in Fig. 2, and provided with a pin P and hole H which co-operate one with the other when the link is closed as shown in Fig. 1, the small hook E of each half being in close contact with the inside of the large hook of the other half. Any strain only tends to close the link more securely. In the case of the jewellery fastening, the short hooks e are continued to form complete rings as shown in Fig. 5, to which the ends of the bracelet are fastened.
