A plate b having forked ends for guiding the thread is attached to the disk. When the threader is used for machine needles, one or both ends of the plate bare bent out of the way of the needle. After the hook has been passed through the needle eye and the thread placed in its barb, the hook is withdrawn and the thread is carried through the needle eye.
