Loom shuttles. - The blade spring 1 of a pivoted shuttle peg 2 is compressed when the peg is raised out of the shuttle, to permit a cop or pirn to be placed on the peg without resistance. The spring 1 passes through a hole 3 formed in the head 4 of the peg, and has an incline 5. When the peg is raised, the incline comes in contact with a transverse pin or projection 6 in the shuttle, and the spring 1 is thereby compressed towards the peg. The head 4 of the peg is recessed to receive a helical spring 8, which reinforces the spring 1.
