Abstract
15,021. Delf, W. July 21. Hand-bags.-A hand bag, purse, &c. a, kept closed by its own weight, is carried by a chain, cord, strap, &c. b, the ends of which are threaded through holes f, g on one side of the bag &c. frame and fastened at h to the other side of the frame. A clasp c may be used as a fastening, or a knob d, Fig. 4, and pivoted piece e may be used for opening. The holes f, g may be replaced by rings, loops, &c., or by a bar. Also the chain b may be threaded through holes at the points hand terminate in knobs or balls.
