11,036. Conrad, F., and Bradshaw, W. M. May 27, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Energy meters.- The motive element of an induction-motor meter is shown diagrammatically in Fig. 3. A magnetic core, common to both series and shunt coils, is formed with a projection 4, separated by narrow air-gaps from side pieces 8, 9, forming a nearly closed magnetic circuit for the shunt coil. The series coils are wound on projections 6, facing the former gaps but separated from them by much wider gaps, in which the disc 15 rotates. The invention may also be applied to watt-meters. A pair of brake magnets of the form shown in Fig. 1 are mounted in brackets 20 with set-screws 21, and are radially adjustable.
