10,302. Dawson, H. W. May 16. Skirt and blouse and like grips.-A combined blouse or shirt fastener and skirt support is formed of two plates 1, 4, Fig. 1, slidingly hinged together at 5. The plate 1 is attached to the waist beneath the blouse &c. by tape threaded through slots 2, and carries a lip 3 which engages a slot 8 in the plate 4, thus gripping the blouse between the two plates. Hooks 9 on the plate 4 serve to support the skirt. In a modification, Fig. 2, the plates are connected by a pivot 11 working in a vertical slot 12, the overlapping portion 13 having a spring action. In further modifications, the lip 3 is replaced by a rib 20, Fig. 3, or by an embossed projection or projections 15, Fig. 4. In these forms, ordinary hinges may replace the sliding connexions.
