9918. Drummond, G. W., [Drummond, D.]. May 11. Spark-arresters.-The upper fixed parallel wings A of the spark-arrester for locomotives described in Specification No. 13,769, A.D. 1901, are connected by two series of baffle-plates F, F<1>, which are inclined and arranged so that the lower series F<1> extends into the spaces between the upper series F. The lower wings A', hinged at a, may be swung upwards out of the way of the fire tubes, as described in the Specification referred to above.
