Soil-pipe joints.-In joints for securing soilpipes to closet basins or outlets having S, P, or Q traps, several recesses C, preferably wedge-shaped, are disposed round the mouth of the basin, in which correspondinglyshaped tapped metal plates D are cemented or teaded. A slotted disk J, flanged at M and H, is then bolted to the plugs, thus securing the flanged ends of the soil-pipe. The flange H fits a circular recess G filled with tallow.
