Indicators, departure and arrival.-In departure and arrival indicators, the hour and minute figures of the time-indicating device are placed upon adjustable disks which are set from a distant point. The setting-mechanism repeats the indication at the place from which the indicators are operated. The time-indicating device may be combined with platform indicators which can be moved up and down by cords so that they either appear behind windows or are invisible. Fig. 3 shows the time-indicating device with the case plate removed, and Fig. 8 the operating-mechanism therefor. The hour numerals 0-12 are placed on the outer disk g, and minute numerals 0-9 and 0-6 npon the inner disks h, i respectively. To denote any time, the numerals are brought to such a position that they can be viewed through windows t, Fig. 1, in the casing c. The disks are rotated by chains r, Fig. 8, from chain-wheels on the separate spindles d, e, f. Each of these spindles carries a small numeral disk behind a plate having a window through which the indication can be seen. The spindles are also provided with ratchet locking- devices. By means of the tensioning-devices S, stretching of the chains r may be compensated for, or the correspondence of the main disks g, h, i and the small disks may be ensured. In a modification, the disks g, h, i are arranged side by side instead of co-axially.
