The pawl box is made in two sections A, which are connected together by studs K on one section engaging holes on the other section, and held in position by a bolt, D, which also forms the pivot for the pawl C. The actuating-rod, instead of being connected to the pawl box, is directly connected to the pawl C by a tail-piece C<1> extending outside the box. The pawl can be locked in position by a pin passing through holes G in it and the box.
