Abstract

1217. Peloux, A. Jan. 21. Gas or explosive-vapour engines.-The cylinders are supplied with full explosive charges at all speeds by compressing air or oxygen by an engine driven fan or pump into a chamber E containing the carburettor nozzle C. Liquid hydrocarbons are supplied to the passage M, from the float chamber B, through the sprayiug-nozzle C, below which is a compressed air or oxygen inlet L opening into the chamber E. Above the spraying-nozzle are supplementary air ports K opening into the passage leading to the engine. The pressure in the chamber E, float chamber B, and oil reservoir A is maintained constant by pipes R, R<1> shown in Fig. 1. Modifications are described in which the float chamber is enclosed in the chamber E. The invention is applicable to motor road vehicles.
