17,766. Methner, G. Aug. 10, [date applied for under Patents Act, A.D. 1901]. Lacing-fastenings.- Relates to a fastening- device for boot and shoe laces. The device consists of two parts a, b which are ribbed on the inside and hinged together. The lace being placed over the part a which is fixed to the boot or shoe, the part b is closed over it and is secured by the disc e, which screws into the projecting pieces c, d on the part a. The disc c is provided with a cover to protect the screw thread.
