Flooring-blocks.-Grooved hollow blocks 2, of cement or similar material, are inserted between I-shaped beams 1 of iron or cement, the blocks resting directly on the lower flanges of the beams and being provided with large flat surfaces 4 at their ends so as to bear up against the webs of the beams. The blocks are bevelled at the tops of their ends to enable them to be inserted easily between the beams. The upper and lower surfaces of the blocks extend beyond the beams, thus giving flat, smooth, floor and ceiling surfaces.
