Abstract
16,641. McHardy, J. July 28. Curtains, drawing and suspending.- A curtain suspenderconsists of a double hook or ring made from a length of wire bent at its centre to form two arms a which are then bent outwardly at a' and into a hook a'. The curtain is attached by means of a clip comprising a transverse member b with ends bent round at b<1>, the curtain being held between these ends and the parts a of the hook. The resilient nature of the hook causes the clip to be firmly held, and a projecting hook b<2> for lifting the suspender on or off the rod is provided ; or the clip may be dispensed with and the wire bent to form tongues for insertion in the curtain. The hook b<2> may be made ornamental, and the suspender itself can be bent with the centre part forming the hook as in Fig. 3.
