Sifting clinkers, ores, &c.- Crushed stone, ore, clinker, &c. from a stone-breaker A passes by a shoot G into a rotary screen or conveyer N, whence it is raised by an elevator to another rotary screen M, the graded material falling into the compartments Y, Y<1>, Y<2> of a receptacle carried by the framework H, while the tailings are delivered to a " Raff elevator R and pass by an inclined shoot S back to the stone-breaker. The screening and elevating apparatus is carried by a platform H mounted on wheels; or the stone-breaker and the screening &c. apparatus may be mounted on one platform. The screen M may be conical, cylindrical, inclined, or stepped, as described in Specification No. 3802, A.D. 1902, and is mounted on a shaft L, supported in bearings J<2>, J<3> and driven through bevel-gearing from a shaft W receiving motion through a belt T from the driving-shaft C of the stone-breaker. The screen or conveyer N is mounted on a shaft K, its inner end being secured to a flange on one of a pair of pulleys 0, Ox, constructed as described in Specifications No. 29,910, A.D. 1897, and No. 8503, A.D. 1901. The narrow rims O<1> of the pulleys are provided with vertical flanges O<2> and connected by spokes O<2> to a boss O<4>. The end of the screen M is connected to one of a similar pair of pulleys O<6>, O<7> on the shaft L, and an endless belt carrying buckets passes over the pulleys on the shafts K, L. The elevator R is of larger diameter than the adjacent part of the screen M, and delivers into the shoot S above the level of the shaft L. The compartments Y, Y<1>, Y<2> may be provided with one or two inclines, so as to deliver the graded material on one or both sides of the machine as desired,
