Castors. - A ball-bearing ball castor comprises a circular base a made in the form of a socket for fitting on the leg of a piece of furniture, and formed with an annular recess to receive a ball race b of steel or other durable material. Bearing-balls c run in the race b and support a central bearing-ball d which projects through an aperture in a cap e, screwed on to the base a. The base a may also be made in the form of an extended plate for screwing to pianos &c., or in the form of a disc provided with a central aperture, for receiving the projecting pin of a bedstead leg, or for being secured to a piece of furniture by a single central screw. When the base a is in the form of an extended plate, it is made with a central boss which projects into a recess in the piece of furniture.
