11,212. Robertson, W. L., and Robertson, W. L. May 16. Strap fastenings. -The front and back parts b, c of a boot or shoe are separate or only connected by expanding water-tight tonguesd. The parts b, c are drawn together and fastened by a strap f, Fig. 3, secured by a buckle, button, &c. The single strap f may be replaced by two parallel straps, as shown in Fig. 4. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 5, the strap s, forked at s', s', passes right round the boot and is secured to a similarly-forked strap t which passes round the back of the boot from the other side.
